The Girls on the Run organization empowers each team to develop and implement a community service project. Many write cards to sick children, collect supplies for animals at the ASPCA, plant flowers around the school, clean up trash, etc. The Terrace Park 4th grade team decided they wanted to have a bake sale to raise money for charities near and dear to their heart: G-Force, ASPCA and the Children’s Hospital. These are organizations that the girls either know someone affected by or a group that as a soft place in their heart. They were able to raise over $225 for the three organizations.
